David Butts' practice is focused on commercial real estate and corporate/commercial transactions. He has extensive experience representing purchasers, sellers and developers of all types of real estate including raw land, office buildings, retail centers, student housing, medical office and industrial projects. He has represented developers and investors obtaining construction and permanent financing for their projects as well as landlords and tenants in commercial lease matters. David also has significant experience forming and structuring limited partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations and joint ventures. In addition to his real estate practice, David represents clients with their ongoing business activities, general contract matters and business purchases and sales.
Prior to entering private practice, David was a senior executive in the real estate industry, serving in positions such as acquisition director for a national real developer and as vice-president of Fuller Commercial Brokerage and the Ben McGuire Company, a commercial mortgage banking subsidiary of Wells Fargo Bank.
